Sira Secka is the founder and president of Enenn Foof Excellence Foundation. After completing her teacher certification program and teaching for some years in the Gambia, Sira immigrated to the US to study early childhood education and development. Sira stayed in New York for about a year, then proceeded to Washington state and furthered her career in teaching. 

Sira found a job with Seattle Public School in September of 2016. Since then, Sira has devoted her time to teaching students experiencing social and emotional learning. While at the Seattle Public School, Sira discovered an inclusive education system that she felt was necessary to bring the same standard and experience to the people of the Gambia. 


Sira served many non-profit foundations and agencies, including YouthCare, to end youth homelessness in Seattle, WA. Sira is also the Program Manager of MindSight Mentors, A non-profit foundation established in 2012 to help middle, high school, and college students, as well as those starting their careers, get the help they need by pairing them with experienced and practicing professionals through Youth Enrichment Programs, One-On-One, Group Mentoring Events, and exploratory workshops.

During Sira's spare time, she loves to cook, hang out with friends and family, and watch Rachel Maddow 6 PM EST news on MSNBC
